Your dwarf hunt, explained.
How to catch Dwarfs?
Look for Dwarfs on the map and on the streets of Wroclaw. Once you are nearby, press the “Catch the Dwarf” button and take a photo of it using the app. The Dwarf will then be added to your personal collection.
Where to find Dwarfs?
Explore the map. Dwarfs love busy squares, cozy corners, and even shop windows. To find them faster, use the hints and descriptions in the app.
Can I catch every Dwarf?
The app features only Dwarfs located in Wroclaw. Dwarfs from other cities or those in restricted areas (e.g., schools or private yards) are not included. If a Dwarf is marked on the map, it can be caught.
How to catch several Dwarfs at once?
Many Dwarfs are inseparable and are considered a single composition. You cannot catch them individually — only all together. Just take one photo of the entire group. Points will be awarded for the whole group, and the Dwarf counter will increase by one.
How many Dwarfs are there in Wroclaw?
It depends how you count! There are already more than 1,000 individual Dwarfs. If you count compositions where several Dwarfs stand together, there are around 800. The app includes all available public Dwarfs, and new ones are constantly being added.
Having trouble catching the Dwarf?
Try taking a photo from a different angle. Make sure the whole Dwarf fits in the frame and isn't too small. Use zoom if it's far away, and flash in the dark.
